THIEL AUDIO CS 3.5 2ND OWNER RELUCTANTLY SELLING

I am the second owner,  purchased from the original owner about a year ago from this site. The 7/10 condition as noted is conservative - the imperfections are virtually un-noticeable once positioned.  One of the grills has a small hole about the size of a pencil eraser, and there are a couple of minor surface scratches here and there.  There is a picture of my setup in the virtual systems section here. 

All of the drivers are without imperfections - the electronic equalizer bears noticeable signs of wear but is 100% functional.  Frequency response is 20hz-20khz,  nothing is missed with these speakers and,  unlike models further up the Thiel line,  these are the easiest to drive.  A 100 watt amp or higher will suffice.  I have never stressed these in any way. 


$500 is appreciably below the  Bluebook average of $972.00 and is firm. Heck, current trade-in average is just north of $700.  Speakers of this quality are untouchable at or anywhere near this price. For someone seeking admission to audiophilia these truly upgrade a system far beyond the price.  Excellent loudspeakers.   

AMENDMENTS JUNE 2: I erred in response to the question asked regarding their age.  Stereophile's glowing review was originally published in 1989, then uploaded to the web in 2007. I purchased them in November 2015 from the original owner. That would make them around 30.
