U-VOLA pair

These very fashionable speakers are of Italian origin designed by Alessandro Copetti and are a work of art in themselves(Madonna has a pair) but not art for arts sake,on the technical side they are quite remarkable in their ability to define and detail stereo imaging/positioning.(Sting has at least one pair)
Due to the shape of the enclosures (which approximate the form of the human head)and the massive high density compound from which they are constructed (8kg each)they throw sound out directly from the front with no flat surfaces or edges to corrupt the wavefront or resonances to blur same)
The vocal detail is thus phenominally realistic,but as the plots show the whole spectrum down to 60 hz is covered.
I have used them with a sub to great success,everyone who hears them is impressed with the presence and range of these speakers.
I suspended them by wire from the cieling(which is their intended method of support and again no resonances) no problem but a floor stand is available from u-vola or could be constructed locally.
They are very efficient and require a modest 125w Amp to drive to full excursion(but as we know its gain that matters more than just raw power .....you can never have too much power available for transients) and as such are ideally suited to pairing with a a ClassA amplifier.
