Vandersteen 2ce Signature speakers with stands, pair

For sale is a pair of Vandersteen 2CE Signature speakers with stands. Have original boxes and manual and can deliver within 100 miles from Zipcode 22902.     
Speakers sound excellent. Clear, crisp, deep bass, wide and deep soundstage. Of a dozen or so amps, they sounded best with Pioneer SA-9800, giving deep 3D soundstage. Twitter and midrange volume could be regulated using potentiometers at the back panel. I am the second owner, purchased them off here on Audiogon 6 years ago.

Speakers are wrapped in black socks with top and bottom wood panels finished in oak. Socks are almost perfect without holes or spots; one of top panels have a small ding (shown on pictures) and bottom panels have few scratches and dings which are not seen unless you are close to them. Including in the sale are black stands with adjustable spikes. I'll also include half-inch diameter "spike adapters" that protect wooden floor.

Frequency response: 29Hz-29 kHz, ±3dB, 32Hz-21 kHz, ±1.5dB. Impedance: 7 ohms nominal, 4 ohms minimum. Recommended amplification: 40-160 WPC into 8 ohms; however they play well with 20 WPC solid state and tube amps. Dimensions: 16 W x 40 H x 10.25 D inches. Speakers are supposed to be bi-amped. Rated sensitivity, 86 dB/W/m.
