I have moved up the food chain and thus my wonderful Curves are for sale.  I first heard these at 2008 RMAF when the Jim Riddell's room was reviewed as one of the Best in Show (which they also were in 2006 and 2009).

I had a pair of Dali MS-4s (which I loved) when I bought the Curves and had the opportunity to A-B them.  You could hear the MDF cabinet resonance in the Dalis.  The Curves carbon fiber enclosures take the sound waves in the enclosure and convert them into heat which is dissipated, rather than bounced back as in the Dalis.  The result is cleaner, with quicker transients.  Also adding to the aliveness and overall top to bottom coherence is the 2 1/2 way design:  the crossover is between the mid-range and tweeter.  However, the 6" mid-range and woofer, while sharing the same frame and cone, have different magnets and coils - allowing the woofer to carry the lower frequencies and the mid-range the higher.  They overlap in the middle which gives amazing coherence and time alignment.  The result is a seamless sense of fluid, natural reproduction of music of all types.

These have always been is a smoke-free, pet-free environment.  As you can see in the photos, these have the cherry wood trim (which was a $1,500 extra cost option when new).  They are fabulous to look at as well as listen to.

Full disclosure: There is a tiny, 1/8" scratch in the carbon fiber, on the right side of one speaker, at the front edge, about 9" up from the floor, and which I coudn't get the camera to pick up.  From a sitting or standing position, you'd have to know it's there and have eyes like a hawk to see it.

These come with the owner's manual, sales brochure, and original jumpers (which I've never used).  The factory original boxes have wooden tops and bottoms and factory custom foam to keep them safe in travel.  If you are in driving distance of Seattle, you can come hear them and I'm open to local sale/pickup pickup and cash payment.  Otherwise, they will be shipped FedEx, insured, with buyer paying actual shipping costs and PayPal fee.
