MSRP $3695. Up for auction are my beloved and seldom-seen Gershman Acoustics Sonogram in walnut, from Canada. I've only had them a few months, purchased from local dealer, but financial needs call for a sale and some downsizing. These speakers are wonderful with their unique soft dome mid-range. They don't look fancy like the other models from Gershman, but they sound magnificent. (There is sunlight coming in the window in some of the pics.

The Sonogram uses three drivers with an eight-inch woofer made in the USA to their specs, a three-inch Morel midrange driver and a 1" Vifa tweeter. While it is not unusual to see a soft-domed tweeter, the use of a soft-domed midrange is. The Sonogram also uses a rear port. Gershman is famous for their use of a pyramid construction in all of their other designs like their well known Black Swan: the pyramid in the Sonogram is hidden inside the cabinet. Building it that way saves money while still benefiting the sound by reducing resonance, standing waves and stored energy.

Specifications are sensitivity 89 dB @ 1w/1m, Impedance 6 ohms, frequency response 28Hz-20kHz with recommended Power 40-250 watts. You should take note of the rather unusual claim of 28Hz on the low end. It is not a figure frequently seen in a speaker of this size and especially a speaker of this price.

Please check my feedback on ebay as well, timoccc. Thanks for looking. (Paypal please add 3%) Local pickup greatly preferred, will meet you within 50 miles of Naperville, Illinois. For pics and review: http://www.stereomojo.com/GershmanSonogramSpeakerReview/GershmanSonogramSpeakerReview.htm
