I am selling my beautiful Hyperion 938 full range speakers. I bought them from the original owner a short time ago, and I liked them soo much that I decided to travel up the Hyperion line to their 968 flagship models. You won't find a better pair of speakers anywhere close to this price! They were over $4500 new a few years ago.
Before I get into the description, I want to mention that you should include your real email address if you decide to contact me. I had these listed last month, but thanks to the redesign of this website, I wasn't able to respond to a few people which probably cost me a sale. For some reason you can't reply to someone twice... Anyway, back to the speakers!
As I mentioned, I am the second owner. I bought them from a person here on Audiogon and had them shipped from Maryland. They are in perfect mechanical condition, and in nearly perfect physical condition. I say "nearly" because there is a small ding to a corner of one of the bass cabinets from shipping. You'd have to actually look for the imperfection to find it, so I didn't bother filing a claim.
I have the original shipping boxes and materials, and the brass feet, which I believe were a factory upgrade at the time.
I'm asking $1999 firm, and the buyer covers shipping and PayPal fees.
If you are a serious buyer and live in the NYC area, I will of course set them up for you so you can make sure they're in perfect working order before you leave my house.

SHIPPING
Local pickup in the NYC area is preferred, and I'll also drive up to 50 miles to deliver or meet someone half way. I had them shipped to me via UPS, which was around $250 from Maryland to NYC. However, I have a friend that owns a shipping company who has agreed to give me a good price on shipping.
I had a potential buyer in Missouri recently. If I had them shipped to a pickup location in his zip code, the delivery price was only $160 WITH insurance! They're much safer this way- they'd be shrink wrapped to a pallet.
PAYMENT
Cash with a local pickup is always accepted. I'll also take a money order. PayPal is fine, but the buyer covers the fee.
As a bonus, I'll throw in a copy of my newest CD and the 96K-24bit digital download version as well! It's a tribute to Scott LaFaro, and I used Scott's actual bass on the recording- the same instrument he recorded Waltz for Debby with. www.philpalombi.com
