"For their third recording, the L.A. Four had drummer Jeff Hamilton permanently taking Shelly Manne's place but otherwise utilized their original players (altoist-flutist Bud Shank, guitarist Laurindo Almeida, and bassist Ray Brown). Most unusual in their repertoire on this set is Chuck Mangione's "Land of Make Believe," which was a current pop hit. Otherwise, the tunes are the usual mixtures of bossas, classical numbers, and standards, including "Summertime," "Mona Lisa," and "Nuages." Tasteful and lightly swinging music." - AMG

Incredible sound! This LP has the dynamics, detail and punch of a 'Direct-toDisk' recording. Every nuance of each instrument is crystal clear and sounds as close to real as you can get. The soundstage is intimate and right in front of you and has excellent depth. 'air' and presence.
Surface noise consists mostly of vinyl 'hiss' and random 'crackles' which are low-level and only audible on quiet passages.
Each record is washed on a VPI cleaning machine using a proprietary 3-5 agent process which is determined by the needs of the individual record. Each record is then listened to 100% to insure that the posted description is exactly what you can expect to get.
