I have owned over 41 SET amplifiers. Many have been good, and a few have been outstanding. This amplifier called the MONACO is the finest sounding unit I have ever owned. 2A3, 45, 300B, 10Y, 50, VT-52, 183 etc...... I have had them all, but this combination of a 6SN7 into a 46 driving an 845 operating at a conservative 10 watts, is the most natural sounding amp I have had the pleasure of owning. Bass is as good as any push pull I have heard, and low level detai; and truth of tone is outstanding. I am moving to Capetown, South Africa. I'm afraid the weight and size of this amp, plus the change in electricity will make the move with me most difficult. If I don't have to risk an overseas shipment of this heavy and beautiful amp, then I am willing to let it go. THAT IS THE ONLY REASON for a possible sale. Rated conservatively. Currently I'm using a pair of Klipsch Cornwalls which are 97db. This amp is more than enough with these speakers.
