The best sounding solid-state integrated amplifier I have ever heard" - Sam Tellig, Stereophile

Audio Revelation is an authorized, full line LFD dealer. Call us for any of your LFD needs.

Testimonials

"This is an amplifier that I could live with forever.  If sound quality is your priority and you can forgo the remote control, I highly suggest the LFD NCSE."
 - Marc Philiips, Tone Audio on the NCSE (read the review)

"The LFD Integrated Zero Mk.III LE is the best sounding solid-state integrated amplifier I have ever heard. I know of no other integrated, of any type, that sounds quite so right. I base this on listening to four different samples in sessions held nearly 10 years apart. It’s not one of the best, blah blah blah, but the best!"
 - Sam Tellig, Sterophile

Overview

When it comes to integrated amplifiers, as a general rule one should take the view that the quality of the components in a circuit is of more importance than the circuit itself when it comes to determining the overall performance of an audiophile design. Frankly LFD's circuits are very good, but not in the true sense of the word 'special.' However the components they use are most certainly very special. In many cases, they have over the years created considerable stockpiles of long discontinued special components.

LFD has done this not only to ensure that they will always have spare parts but also because some of these discontinued parts have no sonic equal today. Or put differently, in some instances, nothing and they do mean nothing currently available at any price will approach, equal or exceed some of these classic components. Strange – but true.

Thus although in general terms the circuits used in their two integrated amplifiers are similar, the quality of the components, right down to the solder and the multi-diameter silver wiring are progressively improved as you move up through the range.

A crucial aspect, by which we mean the time-consuming skill involved, is how to ensure that every component is working in complete harmony with not only the next component on the circuit, but with every component throughout the entire piece of equipment. To get this right takes many years of experience and in part, that’s what you pay for as you progress up through the range of LFD's Integrated Amplifiers.

Models:

Zero LE Mk4.0 / LE Mk 4.0 Signature $3,695

This is by far LFD's biggest selling model. It’s available with an on-board switchable MM/MC phono stage. Please note that this phono stage is NOT retrofit table which means that it must be ordered at the time you place your order for the unit.

NCSE (New Casework, Special Edition) $6,295

Although the circuitry is superficially similar to the LE Mk 4.0, the power supply is much more robust and the ability to drive difficult speaker loads is enhanced. The entire unit is much heavier than the LE Mk 4.0 as LFD has paid particular attention to the NCSE casework to help reduce the effects of microphony. The use of superior parts and additional hand-made silver wiring reduces grain and noticeably improves transparency. The NCSE is hand built by LFD's designer - Richard Bews.
