MONTANA XPS SIG ***MOTIVATED SELLER ***LOWEST PRICE EVER ADVERTISED***

They are in pristine condition but I will rate them a 9 just to be conservative. They have beautiful maple cabinets that are in perfect condition and i have been told that they look much better in person(lousy photographer). Drivers are also in perfect condition and have only been driven with high end amps ie. McIntosh tubes, McIntosh Solid State, B.A.T. I am the second owner and the first owner also drove them with McIntosh gear.

The sound quality is very detailed with smooth highs, greats mids and fast accurate bass. My room has always a challenge and makes all previous speakers sound a little lean on the bass but these speakers have been able to overcome my room issues. These Montanas deliver fast, accurate and deep bass. As you can see in my pictures, I have a 2.1 system and use the Subwoofer during movies only. The results are amazing and the subwoofer and i don't need the subwoofer during music playback.

My favorite setup with these speakers was a tube preamp and solid state monoblocks with a PS Audio Perfect Wave Dac II. I also had the S.R. Powercell 10SE MKIII in this system. This dac was great for its price range but I can only imagine what a higher end Reference Dac in the $12,000+ range would have done for this system. If you have never heard one of these systems, usually in the 100k-200k price range, you don't know what you are missing. I believe my setup was very very close to the best of show systems at T.H.E.SHOW in Newport Beach(IMHO). I think a higher end dac would have put my system in the same league with those super systems.

I have sold most of my gear by now but i can still give you a fairly decent demo with the remaining makeshift system that i have left over. If you want to bring your amp and source to demo these speakers, i would be happy to work with you.

Unfortunately, I do not have the original shipping crates so local purchase is preferred but I am willing to ship via freight if buyer agrees to pay all crating, shipping and insurance fees. The manufacturer is about 50 miles from my location and i have heard that he is usually willing to build new crates. He is also close enough that i can use the same freight company that he uses. I'm estimating It will cost $600-$1000 depending on how far you are from SoCal. I am also willing to deliver within the SoCal area but payment must be made before I start loading them on my truck. If you choose to use Paypal, you will have to cover the fees.
