Audio Research VT-100 mkIII Great Condition / Free Ship / Extra Set Of Tubes

The VT100 MKIII was a benchmark product and one that occupied the recommended list every year it was in production.  It's fantastic with all types of music.  I've used it to power a number of speakers, including Vandersteen 5a's, Revel Studios and Quad 989 speakers.  It always seemed more powerful than the 100 watts per channel would suggest.  Dynamic headroom has never been a problem, and in my listening room, not once did it ever run out of steam.    

I've owned a number of amps over the years, but this one has been my reference.  There's an effortless way in which it goes about recreating music.  It's never showy, or pumped up, but you quickly appreciate its many attributes once replaced.    

The VT100 MKIII is a soundstage champ; vast AND focused.  I've also found the bass from the VT to be more satisfying than some solid state amps that can reach deeper.  There's an organic quality to the bottom-end the VT100's are known for, and the VT100 MKIII got it perfect.      

My VT100 MKIII was purchased from my local Audio Research dealer in Santa Monica as a consignment sale.  The number of hours on the original tubes were unknown, but working fine, however, I had a new set of driver tubes installed anyway to match a second VT100 MKIII in a biamp setup.  I have 750 hours conservatively on the new set, but have reinstalled the original tubes and biased the amp.  Meet my price and I will include shipping and the known set of tubes. 

As you can see from the photos, it's in great but not pristine shape.  I moved this beast a couple of times between racks so there are some small cosmetic blems, but most of them were there when I purchased the amp.  They are primarily on the back edges as you can see in the photos.  The faceplate is very clean, but does have very minor flaws visible only under microscopic inspection.  Flash photography has fleshed them out, but under normal lighting conditions, the amp is very presentable.  

I have all of the original packing materials including the double box and foam shrouds.
