Until just recently the MD-75 was Ming Da's flagship high power amplifier. The Pacific Valve Company imported Ming Da products and upgraded them. This particular amplifier was used as a prototype in developing their upgraded production model. It has had light use over four years at a summer vacation home and is in like-new condition.
The MD-75 produces 75 watts per channel in Ultralinear mode. For those who prefer the sound of triodes, the flick of a switch puts it in 40 watt triode mode. It can be used as an integrated amp with 4 inputs and a volume control or you can bypass the integrated section, turning it into a basic power amp for use with a preamp.  But the feature that makes this amp unique is its power supply. Aside from the two massive transformers mounted on the main chases, it comes with a 30 pound dual mono outboard power supply with two oxygen free hand wound copper transformers that connect to the amp via 8 pin cables. The advantage of this dual mono "Power Humpty" (as Ming Da calls it) is superior channel separation, increased dynamic range, low noise, and better  low end response for demanding speaker loads and music.
The MD-75 uses eight (8) EL-34/ 6CA7/ KT77 tubes. This unit has EH 6CA7s. The bias controls are on top of the amp right next to each output tube and are easy to adjust. I will ship the tubes properly biased and label where each tube should go. The amp uses two 6SN7s and I replaced the stock tubes with much better sounding NOS Sylvanias. The preamp section uses two 12AT7s and I replaced the stock tubes with NOS RCAs. The new price was $2,367.00 plus the cost of the upgraded tubes.
I will have to get new shipping boxes, so I couldn't  enter box dimensions and make an accurate shipping estimate. I put in $100 for the shipping cost and will cover any cost beyond that or return money if the cost is less (not likely).  The shipment will be in three boxes, one for the 50 pound amp, one for the 30 pound outboard power supply, and one small box for the tubes.
From the Review in Stereo Mojo: "At.. [the price] it's hard to imagine anything that could better what I heard in my room. It's no stretch to say I fell in love with the MD-75. It consistently delivers a romantic and musical performance that is also extremely resolute and fleshed out. And its ability to deliver loads of current should pair it well with large floor standers that might otherwise be a difficult load for valve amplifiers."
