Mola Mola Kaluga Monoblocks (Reduced)

Up for sale is a pair of Bruno Putzy's (of Hypex Fame) Class D Mola Mola reference monoblocks. These amps are about 1yr old and in excellent condition. I am the second owner.

I've owned every amp from the Hypex NCore catalogue and still own NC400 mono's which I use in another system. In comparison, these Mola Mola's are by far the most impressive sounding amps Bruno has created offering a slightly warmer and more intimate sound without going too far. Very "Class A" like in nature but without the added heat and size that normally goes along with that type of amp. Build quality is second to none on these units and a real treat to the eye sitting in the listening room.

Unfortunately for me I must let these go due to my new Magico S3's not getting along with ANY of the Class D Hypex amps I've owned in my home. I can use MIT Magnum cables and Zip Cord with this combo without issue though. My older B&W 803D2's love these amps as do the newer B&W D3 flavours I've tried in demo's. A simple Google search will not doubt show many other brands that also seem perfectly happy being driven by these amps. The S3 is a stubborn, very hard to drive speaker not willing to bend and the Mola Mola is a brutally honest amplifier that only knows how to do one thing which is pass on the signal its fed unmolested and when these two "Alpha" components are connected together neither one is willing to take a back seat to the other.

How's that for transparency in an Audogon listing! I am putting this all on the table because I don’t want someone else to attempt to pair these two components together and spend 6mo trying to get them to work like I did. On the other hand, if you own almost any other model speaker then buy with confidence that you will be getting an incredible amplifier that could easily be the very last one you ever need to purchase. If the logistics of selling my speakers wasn’t such a PITA these amps would be the ones staying and the speakers would be leaving instead because I feel the Mola Mola's are that good.

With all that said, this sale includes the original Pelican Hard Case, owners manual, white gloves, power cords and 12v remote turn on cable. As you will see in the pictures attached, there are two tiny marks the size of a pen head on the side of each amp but other than that I cant find any other blemishes. I am very conservatively rating these an 8/10 only because I'm the second owner and the Audiogon rating system reserves a 9/10 to the original owner only.

At my asking price I will include ground shipping within the Cont USA. I would prefer a Cashier's Check to save both parties the added Fee's involved but will also accept Bank Wire. Low Ballers will be placed on my ignore list. CONT USA Sales Only.
