Rarely seen for sale, the superlative Ortofon A95 Anniversary moving coil phono cartridge. Pristine condition, just arrived back from Ortofon factory scope bench inspection, low hours of use (less than 15 hours) and includes all Ortofon factory packing materials, box, accessories and owners manual.
Although the new A95 cartridge with its SLM (Select Laser Melting) manufacturing engineering technology shares certain inherent strengths of the now discontinued Ortofon A90 model, ie. amazing speed, clarity, accuracy, world class resolution, dynamics, precise left/right channel separation, superb tracking capabilities it differs as it is so much more natural sounding with better timbre/tonal characteristics and does not have the cooler, more analytical traits found in the older A90 which many listeners over time found to be much less than desirable during longer listening sessions.
Q: Why are you selling?
A: This is a recent client trade-in towards a 3x more expensive Koetsu cartridge.
Serious offers will be entertained. No trades. No Lowballers.
The Ortofon A95 Anniversary easily competes directly with many $10k + phono cartridges. Your chance to obtain a factory checked, ultra low hour, mint condition model such as this, is very rare.

THE ABSOLUTE SOUND
by Andre Jennings
"there is no area in which the A95 isn’t a better performer than the A90.
The A95 produces much bigger dynamic swings, and is more at ease while
doing so. Where the A90 tended to be less generous with instrumental
sustains, the A95 holds each note’s decay longer, giving the entire
presentation a richer sound that is similar to (but different than) that
of the MC Anna."
