Madisound/Lee Taylor NADA 2-way Custom Bookshelf Speakers

Ordered January 4, 2015. Received March 17, 2015. Used until July 2017 when I replaced with full-range towers.
    
  Utilizing ScanSpeak's highest-end Illuminator series woofers & tweeters, hand-made in Denmark. 7" woofers feature super powerful Neodymium magnets, large open frame, underhung design while tweeters are enhanced range Beryllium. Woofer more closely mimics a 10" unit due to  9mm (.354") fore/aft woofer excursion which is inordinately long travel for a woofer smaller than 10" diameter. 
 
Internally braced and ventilated cabinets built by Lee Taylor in New York and finished with beautifully grained real Pao Ferro Rosewood veneer planks, glued & clamped... not contact paper! High-end, internal wall-mounted crossovers featuring Mundorf Supreme & Solen FastCaps with Mundorf M-resist supreme resistors/Goertz 14awg copper foil inductors and Acura internal wiring terminated with 24k gold plated quick-connect terminals by Madisound. Speaker binding posts are WBT NextGen 0710 pure silver. Large rear cabinet access panels were custom ordered to more easily facilitate internal floor/ceiling and/or cabinet/wall treatment installation if needed or desired. No expense was spared to make these the most dynamic, best looking, sounding & performing speakers for their size that money could buy! Easily performing on par with larger, more expensive speakers and in many cases out-performing speakers costing much more! 

Every cabinet mounting screw pilot bore is  CNC drilled then hardened with multiple coats of CA glue then CNC tapped. Each threaded pilot bore then has a Heli-Coil stainless steel insert threaded into the cabinet and an appropriate metric stainless steel machine screw is installed. 28 per speaker! It was a ton of work and expensive but worth the effort knowing woofers, tweeters, rear access covers and ventilating air horn mounting screws can never vibrate, loosen, strip or wear out due to repeated use or length of service.  
 
Much has been written about the NADA since 2011 when Klang+Ton, a German audio monthly publication printed their magazine showing the plans. Since that time its become one of the most desired, imitated and sought-after bookshelf speaker systems world-wide! Do a Google search on "Madisound Nada Speakers" for all the frequency, performance, graphs and charts of this speaker system. I've conservatively rated these 9/10 due to age but can find no flaws or blemishes whatsoever! Even the bottoms are mint/perfect as each speaker sits on three removable 1/2" thick black anodized alloy Symposium Rollerblock upper halves only!
