SOLID BUILD WITH LARGE MAGNETS:
These high-end heavy monitors weigh 30lbs each / 60lbs pair due to large magnets structures on the speakers and solid cabinet construction far beyond your typical lightweight speaker. Large magnets and solid construction result in a far better sound with a better foundation and more agility. 
  DEEP BASS DOWN TO 40HZ:
With the addition of the 8 inch side firing woofer in EACH cabinet, these speakers play DEEP - deep enough they have been used in many recording studios as reference level monitors by top recording engineers (including the Producer for Prince). 
 CAPSULATED HIGH-END TWEETER:
The high-end hand-treated fabric dome tweeter with ferro-fluid cooling is contained on top of the speaker in its own seperate anti-resonant enclosure to avoid harmful internal sound reflections - a design also used by other high end speaker designers such as B&W. This tweeter delivers smooth non fatiguing highs without the typical "edge" and "bite" of lesser more typical designs. 

SUPER HIGH EFFICIENCY:
The sesitivity of this speaker is also quite high at 89db meaning this speaker will play much louder with the same amount of power as most other monitors which are more typically rated much lower from 84db-87db (an 86db tupical monitor would need twice as much power to play at the same level as the Moon Audio BRSE's). 
 Bi-WIRE CAPABLE:
Yes these speakers can easily be bi-wired using the TWO sets of GOLD PLATED versatile binding posts on the back.
Bi-wiring simply means you run TWO sets of wires to each speaker and is widely recognized as being superior sounding to just a single pair of speaker wires given that more of the signal is delivered to each speaker with this method. 
Of course you don't have to run two sets of speaker cables with these - its just an option if you want to try it. And these connectors will even accept wires as thick as 8 guage or dual banana plugs for flexibility in hookup. 
 HIGHER POWER HANDLING:
These monitors have been designed to handle higher power levels than most standard monitors to support their (optional) use in the recording studio where higher playback levels often exist. While it is more often clipping in the amp that damages speakers its good to know these are designed to handle higher levels than most with peaks as 500 watts possible. 
LOW COST (OPTIONAL) STANDS:
While the stands shown in the photo are not included in our price (as we do not sell them) they may be ordered direct from numerous suppliers for under around $70 - the stands are made by SANUS part number BF24-B1) or you may just decide you don't even need a stand with these as they can be used on a bookshelf or desk just as easily since they have a front mounted port.
