The Bryston SP3 is an audiophile's surround processor, with accurate, smooth & detailed sound in both surround and stereo.
This particular unit is our dealer demo unit, which has just come back from Bryston, where it received a complete $3800 overhaul:
1. The brand new HDMI board with 4K HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2 on ALL inputs and primary output.
2. The brand new USB upgrade board allowing for PCM 192/24 and Native DSD 64/128
3. A brand new "main" board to accommodate the above.
So pretty much the only thing that remains original is the chassis and power supply.
Features include:
- 7.1, 6.1 and 5.1 surround sound
- Dolby True HD, Digital Plus, Digital EX, Pro Logic IIx
- DTS-HD master audio, Dolby volume
- Class A discrete audio circuits
- 4K compliant (with new HDMI board)
- Separate digital and analog power supplies
- Second zone output via single ended pair which allows for separate audio from another source
- RS-232 serial data port for remote control via Crestron, AMX or similar control systems
- Upgraded USB input
Cosmetics are excellent. All original packaging is included. Buyer receives full Bryston warranty.
Note: It may not be obvious from the picture, but this unit does NOT perform any video switching of "Legacy" formats: Composite, S-vid, Component (thankfully). If you are still using these formats, well, get rid of them.

| What year & month was the SP3 built? Thanks for your interest.
The unit was originally purchased for our demo in 6/15. However, as noted in the ad, all the major electronics inside are now brand new. |
| So with the upgrades the retail price would be higher than 10k. 13-14k? The retail price for a SP3, that includes the upgrades listed below, remains at $10k.
Units manufactured prior to 6/17 can be sent back to Bryston to be brought up to the current standard, at a cost of $3800.
That is what was done with our demo unit here.
