Fabulous unit that allows you to adjust output multiple ways for optimal sound. Kept in a smoke-free environment. Selling because not needed. Photos show some shots from the website, and then our shots because the front is very reflective and hard to take a photo properly. From the website:

The built in AM/FM tuner receives your favorite
radio stations with clarity and realism that is free from noise and
distortion. It features the same high performance as McIntosh stand
alone tuners, along with 20 presets for each radio band, as well as a
remote AM antenna.
With its preamp section featuring 11 total
inputs - including 3 digital inputs that will decode your digital
music at up to 32 bits and 192kHz - the MAC6700 is sure to provide
you with enough connections and modern technology to keep all your
music sources connected and sounding great. Two dedicated phono
sections (1 Moving Magnet and 1 Moving Coil) will bring new life to
your record collection and deliver the best possible sound from your
turntable. The Home Theater Pass Through feature will allow for
seamless integration into your existing multi-channel theater system.
At 200 Watts per channel, the amplifier
section has enough power to properly drive virtually all
loudspeakers.

| TM2 or TM3 tuner module in this unit? We have not done any upgrades, so I have to assume this is TM2. I believe TM3 requires upgrading. |
| Does this unit have an FMHD tuner module. I understand that not all of the modules include HD radio. Thank you. This has the standard excellent FM tuner, not HD. |
| FYI... Tuner is TM3. Reads on the back if the unit.
Question, can 2 PAIRS of speakers run off this unit?

Jimmy Hi, Jimmy -- yes, it's TM3. As for multiple speakers, obviously not at the same time, but yes. It has a place to plug in speakers that are 8 ohms, or 4 ohms or 2 ohms. The final spot is for the negative plug. So, if you had speakers that were of different ohms, you could plug in the positive part, and when you want to run speakers A, plug that into the negative. When you want to run Speakers B, plug those into the negative. If you are asking if you can run two sets of speakers SIMULTANEOUSLY, then no, not as far as I understand it. Balance is only configured for two speakers at a time. |
