For
Sale. Brand new Clearaudio Concept Wood
Turntable with Satisfy tonearm and Maestro V2 cartridge. I had traded an extra tonearm for this
table. It is brand new in sealed
box. It sells for $3799 new (often
discounted to $3300). The picture is a
stock picture. The box is sealed so I
did not open it to take any picture of the actual unit.
The
Concept Wood table takes the award-winning Concept to a higher level via
constrained-layer plinth comprised of Baltic birch that yields additional refinement,
richness, and smoothness to musical presentations. The German-made table also
warrants mention for its Satisfy Black tonearm tone arm and 30mm-thick platter,
a combination responsible for optimum imaging and stability. An electronic
speed control even gives the table the ability to play at 33, 45, and 78RPM
speeds. Now, no record is off-limits, and each one will sound great!
The
Concept Wood is belt-driven by a low-noise, decoupled DC motor built into the Baltic
birch plinth. The platter is made of 30mm-thick polymer (POM), an engineering
thermoplastic with a weighted rim for increased fly-wheel effect, providing
greater speed stability. The table plays at three speeds (33RPM, 45RPM, and
78RPM) electable by an Electronic Speed Control knob.
Included is a Clearaudio
Maestro V2 Ebony cartridge. The Maestro
V2 furthers the Maestro design with a new integral wood body for greater
rigidity. This results in increased dynamics and tighter image focus. The
Maestro is fitted with Clear Audio’s best solid boron rod cantilever and Trygon
P2 stylus (the same stylus used on the famous Clearaudio Insider MC cartridge!)
for resolving power previously unimaginable in a MM cartridge. The Maestro’s
healthy output and freedom from resistive loading concerns make it the perfect
choice for anybody searching for great sound that rivals MC designs which cost
a great deal more.
