We're very glad to introduce a new speaker line to the USA. Ichos loudspeaker is a fairly new loudspeaker manufacture from Vienna, Austria. Ichos' speaker designs combine several different and very interesting features such as wideband drivers, back-loaded horns, dipole tweeter, high sensitivity, time coherency adjustment and more. Ichos lineup currently consists of 4 speaker models, from the entry model No. FOUR to the top model No. ONE.  

The N° TWO Mk.II is the sister of Ichos’ top model – suitable for normal-sized rooms, and equipped with all the virtues of the N° ONE. As with all Ichos speakers – and the N° TWO Mk.II is no exception - Ichos pursued a minimalistic, uncompromising approach, striving for musical perfection. The audacity to tread new paths, the special construction and treatment of the sound converters, and the traditional workmanship lead to the unique technical concept of the N° TWO Mk.II.

The development of the broadbands was a lengthy process. Thanks to the extremely expansive driver surface area, the broadbands offer superior dynamics and transition between different volumes and frequencies. Thereby the N° TWO features a high level of detail which allows amplifiers maximum control. In this way, Ichos offers listeners a unique possibility to immerge deeply into the world of music.

The tweeter unit is an advancement of the pre-existing compression-driver, which has been revised and implemented as a dipole. The diameter is larger and the outlet opening has a new form. The driver is mounted in an aluminum monoblock casing.  All inside cabling and components are of the highest quality.

The N° TWO Mk.II is the ideal partner for the sensitive listener and is especially conceived for highest quality sound reproduction in small- to mid-sized rooms. The combination with single-ended amplifiers is ideal due to its high efficiency.

And still, the many non-mainstream solutions embedded in the Ichos N° Two make for loudspeakers which compete with standard fare even on standard hifi parameters. As though to thank their owner's trust in such an off-mainstream status, they then add dynamic capabilities which leave most competitors in the dust. Add rhythmic elan, great tone colours and a live vibe. All of that only requires a fistful of watts to liberate, preferably from valves and circuits that needn't be expensive..."

ICHOS loudspeaker is a manufacturer located in the city of music - Vienna, Austria. Designer and owner is Robert Rothleitner. All construction elements are produced with closest tolerances according to the designers specifications. The entire range of loudspeakers is a genuine Austrian hand-made, labor-intensive product.

The centerpiece of ICHOS' sound converters are wideband drivers supported by hand-made cabinets with customized back-loaded, downward-facing horns and augmented by custom-made tweeters. As a result ICHOS loudspeakers produce a vibrant, natural acoustic pattern with an accurate, tight bass and a high sensitivity - from 92dB of the entry model to 100dB of the top model. Due to this rather elaborate construction and a very strong reinforcement inside the cabinet, feedback and vibrations are prevented.

ICHOS loudspeakers have special properties and characteristics due to a labor-intensive treatment of their membranes with mineral-based material, several oils and a special varnish. This particular treatment takes up to eight weeks. Before being fitted into the high-grade, handcrafted cases,  every sound converter is properly burned-in for many hours. Together with the tweeter, ICHOS speakers achieve a crystal clear and subtly nuanced sound reproduction with a large dynamic scale and heavily boosted sound pressure level.

Simply said, ICHOS loudspeakers are a work of art due to multiple processes of painstaking handiwork and attention to detail. Fine tuning is done with the aid of exceptionally gifted musicians during many listening sessions. Speaker customizations are not only possible, but are welcomed.
