Ayre Acoustics K-5xe MP Preamplifier

I am reluctantly selling my favorite preamp. You would be hard pressed to find anything better up to 10K, perhaps Ayre's more expensive offerings. It is a bargain at its retail price.
Upon comparing it to the K5xe Twenty, I can honestly say that the K-5xe more than holds its own to its twice-as-expensive brother -- perhaps 10-20% difference in tonality.
The Twenty sounds a little softer and I have ended up keeping that because it is a better match with my solid state electronics. If you have tube amps or class A solid state amps, you may be better off with the K-5xe MP.
The unit is in mint condition. I noticed that it had a loose RCA in the back and sent the unit back to Ayre, where they replaced the connector so the preamp is ready to be shipped to its new owner.
