I am the original owner of this unit, purchased in 2005 directly from ATI.
For the last 3+ years I have used it to bi-amp a pair of Von Schweikert VR4SR speakers, prior to those it was used to bi-amp a pair of Energy Veritas 2.3i's.
My usual listening level was around 70-80 db (otherwise I would have spousal issues), however I know there have been times when I was pushing it to where my speakers were putting out up to and over, I would venture to say, the 100db+ range, during these times there were no issues with clipping (via the indicator on the front panel) or sound degradation that I could hear (even my neighbors a few houses down commented on how clean it sounded....), just beautiful crystal clear sound.
This model supports ATI's Pure Balance technology which is a true differential design, balanced from input to output. The power output for the ATI AT2005 amp is 200 Watts RMS/channel into 8 ohms from 20Hz to 20kHz with no more than 0.03% THD, 300 watts into 4 ohm loads.
There are both balanced and unbalanced inputs and a selector switch for each channel.
It also supports DC triggers from 3.3vdc to 24vdc.
This unit is in excellent condition, there are one or two minor scratches on the one side panel and one on the lower left underside and side of the face plate (not noticeable looking from the front of the unit, you should be able to see these in the pics. Additionally a couple of of the plastic speaker connector covers slip when you try to tighten them really tight when using spade connectors, I used banana connectors so this was never a concern for me. If you are using spades you could pull the plastic cover off and tighten them with your fingers or pliers and then put the cover back on.
I have the original double box and packing as well as the original power cord and manual.
Keep in mind this amp is no lightweight, the shipping weight on the box was 104lbs, the unit itself would be around 90lbs or so. One may want to consider a local purchase (I am in the northwest New Jersey area).
If you are wondering, I recently retired and find that I am on the go the vast majority of the time, I am home very little and have even less time time to enjoy my system. Rather than letting it sit there and collect dust I would prefer to sell it to someone that could appreciate it.
I am asking $1850 for the amp, new they are just under $2500. Buyer would be responsible for all shipping and electronic payment fees. I would also be willing to support an in person cash transaction.
Thanks for looking.
Pete
I have 2 pairs of 3 meter Flexygy 6 speaker wires (made by Rivercable) that I am also selling and would be willing to include as a package if interested. If you are not familiar with these wires they are flat cables with 6 - 16 gauge wires (3 pairs) in parallel that have an aggregate value of 8.5 gauge. Not overly expensive, they are just over $200 new per pair, bananas on one end and spade lugs on the other. I also have 4 half meter Better Cables Silver Serpent XLR interconnects, these are just over $60/pair new that could be included as a package if interested.
