The Liberty Audio B2B-100 is 100% made in the USA, including the chassis materials. It is designed by Peter Noerbaek who owns/develops PBN and Montana speakers, as well as a higher-end line of electronics. It seemingly has effortless power despite being rated at 110w/ch into 8 ohms (200w/ch into 4 ohms). It should be enough to drive just about anything. It has a very clean yet musical signature. By far one of the best amps I had in my system, and I've had many amps.
Fully balanced, with a unique High bias/Low bias switch (High bias is more of a pure Class A sound and is what I preferred). Should you wish to pick up a second B2B-100 down the road, you can use them as monoblocks as they are bridgeable. This amplifier also has upgraded WBT binding posts and Cardas XLR inputs, installed at the factory. I purchased this amp from the original owner.
I'm selling because I've moved and my current living situation (for the foreseeable future) precludes me from setting up my stereo. Rather than just store it for who knows how long, I am putting it up for sale. This amp is incredible, and at half price off retail (not to mention the upgraded binding posts and XLR inputs) is a phenomenal value. The amp is in excellent condition.
Please read the reviews and the product page on Liberty's website:
Important note: the XLR output impedance listed on the product page is using the amplifier as a monoblock. When used as a stereo amp, the impedance is 10k ohm, not 3600. I verified this with Peter Noerbaek and suggested he correct this on his webpage. Does not look like he has, however. "I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the B2B-100, and found it to perform in the same vein as the classic solid state amplifiers such as the Jeff Rowland, Classe, or Bryston products. For those frugal hobbyists looking for a high quality amplifier, I would strongly suggest auditioning this one. There are very few amplifiers at this price range that can equal the B2B-100 in terms of sound quality and flexibility to drive a wide cross section of speakers."
- PFO "...Then there are those special products that manage to blur these lines. Their sound seems inherently almost flawless and neutral, while at the same time drawing me into the performance in a way that tends to send my lower jaw floorward again and again. That, in a nutshell, is what the Liberty B2B-100 did for me during its time in my system."-Soundstage
