Audio Research Reference Phono 2 SE REF2SE Best Price and Free Shipping

Very clean low hours ARC Ref 2SE Phono. Still not fully broken in at 523 hours total. New tubes from Upscale Audio (ARC specially selected, cryoed) at 436 hours so these are just nicely settled in.

I am the original owner from new of what was a Ref 2 Phono purchased in December 2010. It was upgraded to 2SE status in March 2013. All of the original sales paperwork and the ARC documentation is included -- this is a very clean provenance.

Condition is an excellent 7/10 by the AudioGon grading system. An 8/10 requires a perfect front plate and in this case there are barely visible finger marks around the buttons (endemic to use of the buttons and the effect of fingers on the finish) so unfortunately does not qualify as an 8/10 (I grade very conservatively and truly in line with the standard)., In addition there is some very minor rubbing of the black metalwork along the top sides -- see both of these defects in the enclosed photos.

In addition to the stock ARC accessories (power cord, remote, rubber tube dampers, manual) this one comes with a full set of Herbie's RX dampers -- a $170 value, and a Synergistic Research Black Fuse (another $110).

I've loved owning this phono stage and my only reason for selling it is that I've upgraded to a different manufacturer at more than 3 times the cost.
