This preamplifier is really in perfect condition both functionally and cosmetically. I've
purchased it new in 2014, and I am its sole owner. The only issue with the
unit is, that its top glass is cracked, which can be faintly seen in
some of the photos. This happened when I was moving 2 years
ago. The mover has accidentally pressed the unit against his chest and
cracked the glass, even though it was wrapped in blanket… I have ordered
the glass replacement 3 months ago ($129), as I need to raise funds for
a new purchase. However, McIntosh says the
glass is on a 6 to 12 months back-order. I’ll ship the glass to the new
owner once I receive it.
The asking price reflects the
glass damage, even though the replacement glass would make it as close
to “mint” as can be.
The preamplifier is in my system currently, and it performs as well as it did, when I purchased it. In addition, when the top glass was cracked 2 years ago, I've taken it to the local McIntosh dealer for thorough testing. Not a single issue has been detected.
I will accept the return, if and only if the unit is not performing to the manufacturer's specifications upon arrival.
I will assume the shipping charges within Continental US and Canada as well as all PayPal fees.
ALL REASONABLE OFFERS SHALL BE CONSIDERED. $3000 OFFER ON A $6000 PREAMPLIFIER WOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED REASONABLE!
