Audio Research VT-100 mkIII tube stereo amp. Many positive reviews! $6,500 MSRP

This is one of the great buys in tube amplification. As the final iteration of the VT100 series, the MKIII is the crown jewel of the much applauded series. Much improved over the original VT100, the MKIII version is simply more transparent sounding, more dynamic, quieter and a power delivery that seems to be more than their rated 100W. At its original $6,500 MSRP, it was an audiophile bargain and had won many positive reviews from reviewers worldwide. Previous owner of this amp had the amp serviced at Audio Research in 2012 where it was fully serviced and bias and had a tube plate replaced (paperwork included). Being that this is updated to the MKIII version, it now runs on four 6H30P driver-follower tubes instead of eight 6922 tubes found in the earlier two VT100 models. It is still a 100W amp with the same eight 6550 tubes but this is the one you want, to enjoy the glorious sound of 6550 tubes. Amp is massive at 19" wide, 21" deep (with the rack handles) and 9" tall. It weighs a hefty 65 lbs unboxed.

Cosmetically, there are some scuff marks here and there but nothing major. We have the original box and will securely pack this for safe shipping.
