I am the original owner and bought the stock UDP-205 directly from Oppo in April 2018. I added the OppoMod main power supply Linear LPM SE (in place of the stock switch mode supply) and the OppoMod Aluminum BD-ROM stabilizer. I also sent the unit to Dan for his ModWright Signature Truth Modification. I used the 205 sparingly, mainly as a Roon endpoint. I have put less than 50 hours on the disc spinner.
My 205 is as good as it gets for both music and video. I added a NIB RCA branded Blackburn Mullard GZ34 in the Modwright PSU and NOS Phillips SQ Miniwatt E188CC for the 2 channel analog stage. The Phillips tubes are 10,000 hour spec and considered by some the best sounding of the 6922 family. I will include these tubes as well as: "New" testing Amperex 1962 date GZ34 which I believe has a small part of the "Bugle Boy" silk screen remaining; an f31 "fat bottle" Blackburn Mullard GZ34 that tests very strong (55/57 where nominal new is 60/60 on my TV-7DU tester) -f31 is the oldest of the Blackburn Mullards and nearly extinct; Unused, matched Telefunken E88CC pair from Kevin Deal; Unused, matched Genelex Gold Lion 6922 pair. The RCA branded GZ34 is in the PSU and not in my tube photo.
I am selling with regret, but must pay unexpected medical bills. My "Buy It Now" price is less than I paid for the UDP-205, modifications and tubes.
