New German Built Version Palmer 2.5i LP Turntable
Price does not include arm. Pictured is the Audio Origami PU7 arm. Wood finish is cherry or Baltic birch.
Now built in a very high precision shop in Germany, the new version Palmer 2.5i sports an upgraded main bearing, motor, and power supply. The wood bases are now beautifully crafted in Italy.
I have carried the Palmer turntables now for many years. I have been in business 40 years yet I have never heard a more enjoyable turntable than the Palmer. At least 1/2 of my Palmer customers are actually switching from much more expensive turntables to the Palmer, many of these buyers proclaiming the Palmer a "bargain".
"I practically can't describe how incredible it is. Pure silent background, music that is so real you just can't tear yourself away from it." Gene Rubin
“I wonder if the secret to the success of this turntable is that it’s a fundamentally simple and practical design that has been executed to the nines in each of its aspects. Tracking was outstanding, surface noise and all the other detritus of vinyl well suppressed, and the background blackness fully competitive even with some SME models I’ve tested. Whatever Palmer was up to here, in the 2.5 he translated it into listening experiences of beauty, precision, clarity, and power."

"I still have to answer to audiophiles who make think it’s nuts to spend $15K on a mere turntable and arm combo—cartridge not included—but I’ve heard far too many super-tables that cost a lot more and I’m not sure, especially with the absence of A/B comparisons, what they offer that the Palmer and the Audio Origami cannot. For my particular tastes, this analog rig does exactly what I need it to do—deliver all of the information in the groove while maintaining an easy flow that caters to my desire of having beautiful music in my home nearly every waking hour of the day. And yes, after all these years Gene Rubin is still right."
