Dynaco ST-70 Will Vincent refurbished / rebuilt stereo Tube Amplifier amp

FOR SALE: A Will Vincent custom hand built modernized classic Dynaco ST-70 Stereo Amplifier in very good working and cosmetic condition.

Will Vincent is a highly respected custom tube amp builder/rebuilder and is known to create some of the best sounding Dynaco 70s. You can research his amps on various audio forums and find testimonials.

This is an early build by Mr. Vincent - the focus was on the sonics and the appearance is less sophisticated than his recent models. However, this amp went back to Mr. Vincent about 4 years ago and he went thru it and updated and recalibrated it. Last week my meticulous local tech bench checked the Dynaco and confirmed that the components and values inside are still as appropriate. He biased the amp conservatively to the low side of the recommended 1.4 value.

The Dynaco circuit is the original design. Only the components have been upgraded to ensure long term reliability and improved sonics. The input connectors have been moved to the back of the chassis (where they belong).

CONDITION: Rating the condition at 8. Please see the photos for details of the condition. The operation has just been confirmed to be excellent.

There is one issue with the amp. One of the two 7199 tubes should be replaced. Instead of buying a cheap 7199 and sticking it in to sell, the new owner can buy the 7199 of their choice. The price is discounted by $75 to allow for the new 7199.

TUBES: Along with the 7199, the Dynaco comes with four EL-34s and an almost new GZ34 rectifier tube. The EL-34s are a free bonus to get you started. The new owner should put a quad of their favorite nice EL-34s into the Dynaco to allow it to shine to its full potential. Or a brand new boxed quad of Platinum Matched EL34s by Electro Harmonix can be included for $75.
