Revox PR99 MKII 2 track 1/4" tape EIC and NAB 7.5 and 15 IPS [Expired]

This is the first in a series of restored and upgraded Revox PR99s cruzeFIRST Audio will be offering for sale. This particular unit was found in all original condition with very small head wear on it and with excellent front panel condition. We have commissioned CS Electronic to do the upgrades and restoration and the heads have been relapped , aligned and certified by JRF Magnetics. Tape path has been upgraded for smoother playback and better performance, so have the audio and other control board electronics. We have modded so that it can record in IEC and playback in either EIC or NAB in 7.5 or 15 IPS. It also comes with an extra set of XLR outputs if you choose to use an external preamp head of your choice via a selector switch. More than 100 pieces have been changed (see picture) and many proprietary sound enhancing mods have been made. Please note that this is not just a simple restoration job, don't be confused by online commentators and call us if you have any questions. 
It has been calibrated to spec and for use with SM900 tape. We ill include the NAB adapters in the pictures but please note hat the Reels are not included in sale.

Main Modifications

-Op capping of all Audio boards, with included proprietary enhancements to same

-Re-wired with silver plated copper wire for playback head and output path, quad shielded
-General replacement of all power supply capacitors, capstan and reel control card capacitors

-New EIC connector for US Based power cords with ground plug
-New Cal/Uncal switches 

-Black Painted Back cover plate

-New light bulbs for VU meters and Record lights
-Install new Athan PolyUrethane Pinch roller
