Audio Research CD-3 mkII Great Opportunity

This is a one owner unit. Selling for a friend. He states that this unit has not been used for the last four years being stored in its box inside the house. This unit is in Excellent shape. No cosmetic issues (see pics) and functioning as intended (I have just tested it). An outstanding CD player with both RCA and XLR analogue outputs. Also digital outputs (XLR and RCA/BNC) if you have a DAC that you would like to use and use this unit as a transport. Comes with an adapter to make the BNC output a coax/RCA out, Comes with Remote, coax adapter, disc puck, Manual, stock power cord and original factory double boxes and packing. It was originally bought (2003) from authorized dealer as a CD 3. Dealer then sent the unit back for the owner to ARC to upgrade/refit as a CD 3 Mk II. The upgrade included improvements to the laser mechanism and use of higher quality electronic parts. This upgraded condition is not shown on the face plate (where the model is still shown as CD 3), but is marked on the rear panel, as seen in the pics. The box shows the same Mk 2 marking and the same serial #. The unit will ship in the original ARC packing and double boxing with Manual, Remote (new batteries included) stock power cord, BNC to coax adapter and transport "puck".
