Reference Master Clock
USB to Digital audio converter
REALLY good as a stand alone DAC - Similar to DACs in the $2-5k price range. This shares internals with Antelope's "audiophile line" It even has a stepped resistor volume control.
Pro audio devices don't seem to get any "cred" in the high end audio world event when they are game changers. This is the ultimate device to compliment older DACs that don't have USB. If you have a brand that can accept Word Clock then this device can transmit a master clock signal along with digital up to 24/192.
I have used this for years with my dCS Elgar and the results are Eargasmic...If you're familiar with the dCS U-Clock, understand that this thing blows it away. The clock in this thing is much higher quality, and is FAR more stable and accurate than anything from dCS that I've owned, The USB conversion is on another level compared to anything in the "audiophile" world.
The last photo is after calibration of the internal clock from a Rubidium standard. Ask yourself if your internal clock can do that. Sadly, the answer is no. I don't care how much you spent, it's still no. I've tested clocks from the big guys and until you slave them to an external source, they aren't in the same league.
