Sony TA-2000

Up for sale is a new in box Sony TA-2000...yes New in box and wrapped in the original plastic.  see my separate auction for the Sony TA-4300 Channel Divider.    
Yes, I know it is hard to believe but you are looking at a highly regarded Sony TA-2000 new in the original box.  Of course there is a story to explain the absolute rarity of this pristine unit.
I purchased this unit along with many other vintage audiophile quality pieces which I will be listing over the coming weeks.  Some will be included here, specifically the more collectible pieces that I would love to see goto a good home.  I will be posting some of the more common items on ebay and will list below as well.  (and of course I kept a few special pieces for my personal collection).   
This unit came out of the estate of the owner of the Schaeffer Camera Company in Newark, New Jersey.  I googled the store and it appears to be long gone and there is not much information on the internet but the company that handled the estate sales says that it was a prominent store in the metro-New York area selling high end electronics including cameras, turntables, speakers, amps and electronics.   
When the store went out of business the owner took the most valuable pieces home where they have been stored for the last several decades.     
This beautiful unit is new in box as clearly shown in the photos and is in amazing condition.  I have a separate auction for a brand new TZ 4300 to pair with this unit.   
This is likely a once in a lifetime find and I am proud to offer it and hope that she goes to a good home.
