Scansonic MB 3.5 [Template]

Scansonic MB 3.5 are amazing loudspeakers from the designer of Raidho speakers in Denmark who makes one of the most accurate yet musical sound systems available.The Scansonic line was established to take the technology of Raidho and lower the price.
The MB 3.5 speakers are white and in almost brand new condition where I would rate them at 9 out of 10 condition. I have owned them for 3 years and found them extremely precise/musical in all types of music. The famous Raidho sealed ribbon tweeter is similar to the one used on the Scansonic speakers which gives the highs/midrange a magical fluidity yet detailed almost electrostatic transparency.
Paid $5300 new and selling for almost half $2700.

The MB-3.5 is a slim floor standing speaker with two 4.5” carbon-coned drivers, a sealed ribbon tweeter and two 6.5” woofers. The MB-3.5 works as a 2.5-way speaker, where the two midrange-woofers are supported by two 6.5” aluminum coned woofers. The two carbon midrange-woofers are run in series for increased power handling.
The MB-3.5 cabinet is heavy, braced and curved, with carbon reinforcements. The speaker is crossed over at 3.5 kHz and the two added side woofers assist up to 200 Hz.
The MB-series features high quality crossover with top quality components. The filter has been carefully tailored to linearize the frequency region where cone and cabinet geometry play a role and also to carefully tune the speaker to a natural sounding frequency response.
I brought these speakers with me 3 months ago to Tavira from Los Angeles, California and find them too large for my current living room in Tavira. Best to Email be as my Portuguese is not good enough to speak fluidly.
