Spendor SP-1/2R w/Sound Anchor 4-Post

Made the move to SET low power and looking for a good home for these legendary speakers.

The 1/2R is essentially the 1/2E with upgraded wiring -- but the same famous sound that has captivated so many seasoned audiophiles looking to get off the merry-go-round. The 1/2R2 that followed the 1/2R used different drivers and was voiced a tad more modern -- losing (IMHO) some of the magic that made the 1/2Es so wonderful.

I have been a dedicated Spendor Classic fellow since 1980 -- having owned every speaker in the Classic series including the SP100s. These are the best of the best.
They sound amazing with either tubes or transistors. YMMV. Will blow your mind near field without a sub -- or throw in a good sub and fill the room.

This pair is really a 9 but I've listed as an 8 just to be safe. Beautiful book-matched cherry as only the Brits seem to achieve! Included in the sale are the most desirable stands for these heavy large monitors -- the $800 four-post Sound Anchors.
