If you have never owned a Mcintosh Audio Component and you have heard about the  "Classic Mac Sound " prior to owning my first Mcintosh until I heard them first hand I then knew what audiophiles meant.If you have been a McIntosh owner or still are you know of what I speak.
Indeed the sound paired when the speaker of your choice won't disappoint you. These 50 wpc amplifiers have reserve power way beyond the spec sheet results. The MC 250 Amplifiers were the all solid state amplifiers the were produced after the Famed Macintosh Tube Era of that period. so the Transformers and other components in these units were exactly the same as the previous tube amplifiers they produced which is why these MC 250 amplifiers have such a tubelike sound quality.

 Cosmetic Condition:

To be fair I rated this MC 250 at 7. I have a full array of photos to view, the chrome is in very good condition with no signs of rust. on the transformers and black painted areas some wear on the paint but considering this amplifier is now 52 years young its not a major flaw. No rust anywhere on the black painted areas as well.
I have cleaned this component with a professional audio recommended cleaner. Before shipping I will clean the amp before carefully packing and double boxing it for shipping. 
I have owned three of these MC 250 Classics I have two remaining that I am putting up for sale here in separate ads. I had them in a Monoblock setup which renders 100 wpc on each amplifier.

I purchased this MC 250 from a fellow Audiogon Member about 5 years ago he was the second owner. It has been in and out of my systems and from Tannoy to Klipsch to my Audio Pro Bravo FX 10 and a number of other speaker systems. When powered this amplifier  the results were always rendering that Classic Mcintosh tubelike sound quality. I have had Tube Preamplifiers paired with the MC 250 with fantastic results as well as quality solid state preampfification. They have separate speaker taps for 4-6-16 ohm speakers.
This amp has been in a child and smoke free home during my ownership.
There is so much information about these amps on the net and as well if you have any questions I am here to answer them and assist in any way I can.
