Audio Research PH1

Audio Research PH1 phono preamp in black. Immaculate mint condition, complete with owner's manual, cartridge loading instruction sheet, untouched package of loading resistors, original box and packing. I sold this to a cardiologist in 1994 and he very lightly used it. Now I am selling it for him. The 48db fixed gain allows the PH1 to be used with great results with moving magnet, high output moving coil and medium output moving coil cartridges. It is curerntly set as from the factory at 47k input impedance, which is perfect for moving magnet and high output moving coils. If the user wants to use a medium output moving coil (.7 to 1mv) it might be best to solder in the supplied 1000 ohm loading resistors, or not, it just depends on how it sounds. It's an easy soldering job to do so. I've fully tested the unit and it operates perfectly and sounds great and is a great value compared to what else is available at this price range.
