Magnepan MG-IIIa

Magnepan Magneplanar MGIIIA loudspeaker - most recently in system with Audio Research Classic 60 and LS-2 (SOLD!), Theta DSPro Basic (SOLD!) and Philips CD-80 (SOLD!)...a killer system! These things still sound sooooo amazing, and I am convinced it really helps driving them with tubes like the Classic 60.
I wish I could post video's here, I have taken several of this entire system to demonstrate how awesome everything works and sounds across a variety of music genres. IF you are seriously interested just shoot me a note and I'll forward a video or two to you.

• Three-way planar-magnetic bass and midrange system, with ribbon tweeter.
• Bass driver: 620 square-inch planar magnetic.
• Midrange: 170 square-inch planar magnetic.
• Tweeter: ¼" W by 57" L by 0.0001" thick ribbon.
• Crossover: 18dB/octave low-pass Butterworth at 300Hz, 6dB/octave high-pass at 800Hz, and at 3kHz between midrange and treble.
• Frequency response: 37Hz-40kHz ±4dB.
• Power recommendation: 50W minimum, 200W maximum.
• Impedance: 4 ohms in the bass, 3 ohms in the treble, pure resistive.
• Sensitivity: 83-85 dB/W/m.

While I have the original boxes and the magnetic safety strip for the ribbon tweeter, I think local pickup is best. Additionally, I am willing to box these up and personally deliver them to you within a reasonable distance (400 miles +/-) of Champaign, IL. All that I ask is that the Buyer cover my gas expenses for the delivery, I will of course cover my own gas for the return trip.
