I have had more than a few tube amps and many of them were magic with the highs and mids but only two of them ever provided truly outstanding base.  The AR was one and the CAT JL-2 Signature was the other. The mids and highs are truly amazing, sound stage is deep and wide, add outstanding imaging and I don't think you can get any amp with a better set of qualities that will bring the performance as it was meant to be into your favorite listening space.  By the way the CAT was twice the price of the AR,  To my ears the AR is a bargain at it's original price, at the asking price it is a steal.  

It saddens me to sell my system but father time has finally started limiting my abilities to truly appreciate what has been a life long passion.  Whoever happens to purchase this amplifier will be getting an amazing bargain.

I have a set of new matched Svetlana SV6550c power tubes and a Shunyata Python CXa 20 Amp power cable as new, I would include these for an additional 250 dollars, retail for the items is 1,200.  If you have a serious offer let me know and I will make the modification to the price.
