This is a wonderful turntable package both sonically and visually. The four plinth Music Hall design is extremely effective at damping out airborne vibrations and those caused by footfall on suspended floors.

The Project Carbon Evolution tonearm is a great no-fuss arm that has been upgraded for even better performance. I’ve installed the Oracle Audio arm-wand damping kit made specifically for Project Carbon arms and it made a big audible difference in sound, particularly in the areas of detail retrieval, soundstage depth and width.

Please look carefully at the photos for evidence of the excellent condition of this turntable, Note that the tiny white specs on some of the images are specs of dust, and there’s some errant lighting glare that looks like marks, but isn’t!

So this package includes the turntable, arm, Oracle damping kit ($170), Goldring 2400 Moving Magnet cartridge ($750) and I’ll even throw in a Music Hall cork platter mat, value $90.00

Now please note – this is the early MMF 11 and not the MMF 11.1 As such it does not have magnetic feet (which don’t work), it has fixed heavy duty feet with rubber O-ring isolation pads.

The turntable does not have a dustcover but they can be purchased from Music Hall for $170.

I do not have the original packaging but it will be well packed and double boxed for a safe trip to anywhere in the USA (no overseas).

I’ve found this to be a truly high-end turntable, significantly better than any of the decks that preceded it in my system. I had the ClearAudio Avantgarde Magnum with Satisfy Carbon and Benz wood SL cartridge, an $8000 package that was inferior in most ways to the Music Hall deck.

After the Clearaudio came a VPI TNT with 10″ JMW arm. That deck was the least impressive of the three that I’m referencing here.

The stand-out points to note from the Music Hall turntable is how it deals with complex musical passages. The MMF 11 is able to separate out each instrument/vocalist in the soundstage and present them in a clear and unambiguous way with plenty of air and space. It’s a very musical turntable balancing harmonic ‘richness’ and detail very well. Instruments and performers have good body and presence without ever sounding harsh or etched. A great deck and not surprising that there are so few on the used market.

The Goldring cartridge is in excellent condition with plenty of life. I would estimate total use under 500 hours.

Grab this while you can, it’s a great package deal!
