Phase Linear Model Model 6000 Series Two Audio Delay Refurbished
For the Phase Linear audiophile, there was no shortage of equipment to
supplement his amplifier and preamplifier in the late 1970s. Among the
components that could be added to the system was this Model 6000 Audio Delay
Series Two. This was an A. P. Van Meter design. Varying degrees of
delay could be selected. This component was also the choice of rock and jazz
bands for use in live concerts.
- Trouble shoot unit and made repairs where needed.
- Cleaned all controls and switches
- Re-soldered where needed
- Calibrated to factory standards using repair manual
- This preamp shows the genius of Bob Carver and the design team. Using the controls; the soundstage can be colored to your room. I asked my tech with 25 years working for Fluke to calibrate and refurbish this to ORG standards. This has been done and performs as intended. It is recommended that the operator read and understand the owner's manual for optimal performance. Org box is of course; included and this will be double boxed.
These phase linear where manufactured before the invention of CD's. If you play CD's thru them, you are running the risk of over driving the pre amp stage. DO NOT put CD source into this equipment. Play only reel to reel tape, 8 track, Cassette tape or vinyl..
