Sony XDR-F1HD Tuner (Price Reduced)

Up for sale is a Sony AM/FM XDR-F1HD Tuner which has done a complete mod  including adding a super audio  board that makes the tuner sounds super compared with other expensive tuners. Its signal reception is the best among all my other tuners. The unit is in great conditions both appearance and functional. 

It comes with a brand new remote control and manual for using all the features. I have just reduced the price to $450 which is a great buy for this unit. It's very rare to find a good unit of this model in the market. 

The full modification was done by Dave Stambaugh. I paid about $300 for doing the full modification. The mod includes adding a new audio amp, replacing the fan and all old electronic components including re-tuning the complete unit to the best performance. The new fan is very important for this model as many units have overheat problems because of the case is too small and the old components arrangement has great congestion issues that causing the overheat problem. Many old units were broken down because of the overheat issue.
The tuner's sound and reception quality are totally different and have a great improvement after the modification. Dave is an expertise for doing tuner modification and he is specialized of doing the mod for this Sony tuner for many years. You won't be regret of getting this tuner if you like FM radio music.

This is a great tuner that sounds very clear and beautiful with the best reception capability. It's among the best reception tuner compared with many expensive tuners. It works great even in the very weak signal areas. The reception is super for both Analog and HD channels. 

The tuner can really shine with a good signal fed to it. This is the reason why I use the Magnum Dynalab ST2 antenna to work with this unit and achieve the best results. The unit will last for many years after the modification and it has a great sound improvement after adding the audio board. 

All in all this is a great tuner at a great price, especially the HD feature is useful. You will get the extra HD piggy-backed sub-channels that some HD channels have added.
