Have the original chrome-faced chassis for the EAR 834 phono section. Additional photos will be be posted shortly. EAR 834 alone fetches upwards of $1700 in the used market. Thanks.
Custom JA Burgess full-function pre-amp based on VTV Octal line stage utilizing two 12SN7s for gain and a 5AR4 rectifier with an integrated (for lack of a better word) EAR 834 phono stage set to accept moving coil cartridges. This wonderful one-of-a-kind preamp has served as my reference until recent acquisition of the latest Audible Illusions Modulus 3B-MC, with minimal use of about 3 to 4 hours per week. Chassis is bubinga wood surrounds and 3mm red anodized aluminum top plate. There are separate on/off switches for line and phono stages. I do not have enough superlatives to describe Jim Burgess’ work. I might regret letting this unit go but….
