MIT Cables SL-12 StyleLine Speaker Cables (8ft pair)

Was $600 - NOW $550! MIT SL-12 StyleLine Speaker Cables. $1,200 MSRP. Great sounding cables. I just upgraded to MIT EVO Series. I have used a multitude of cables from what I would consider the top 5 manufactures. Hands down - IMHO - MIT are the best. Everybody has their own opinion. These are NOT recommended for a lower quality 2-channel system. You would probably not be able to discern any diff from bare wire. Anyway, here is some marketing detail and review out-takes. NOTE: After the release of the "StyleLine Series", the SL-9's (one step down from these) were submitted for review at The Absolute Sound. They were awarded Editors' Choice for 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. Not a bad tip o' the hat.

Comments: In terms of imaging, once again the MIT StyleLine cables did nothing but impress. Images were right-sized and rendered beautifully. Image stability in fact was exemplary, as I noted not only detailed layering of information behind the front plane of the speakers, but also impressive imaging that extended well beyond the outer edges of the speakers. This serves to confirm that indeed, the phase coherency of the MIT StyleLine is not only excellent but well beyond what anyone would typically expect from a cable system in this price class. I have several live recordings in which the vocalists have a tendency of turning their heads side to side as they sing. In my experience, it is rare that a cable can retain that almost eerie quick change in perspective and phase and present it in a believable fashion. I was delighted to find that the MIT StyleLine cables did this with ease.

Summary:
“MIT out-performed my reference cables in the lowest registers and in image layering. This is both a surprising and also a delightful outcome. Indeed, the trickling down and simplification of the MIT music interface design to an affordable high performance, high-end entry level line of cables is great news for audiophiles and an unqualified success for the folks at MIT. RD always equated MIT (Music Interface Technologies) audio cables with crazy-unreachable prices, but now there’s the new entry-level StyleLine Series. The SL 8/SL 9 pairing offered a very neutral top-to-bottom balance, allowing RD to indulge in the detail-fest that makes the sport of the high end so much fun. Mouth sounds, the sonic signatures of the microphones, the “sound” of the recording studio—all came through clear as day.
