The Orbe Platter Kit offers owners of GyroDecs and Gyro SE’s the opportunity to take their turntables to the next performance level. The original Gyrodec or Gyro SE's platter is a great beauty but the Orbe Platter upgrade is great improvement in sound. Now if you buy the Orbe Platter upgrade, you may keep the best of two worlds. 

Taking many of the Orbe’s unique qualities, the Orbe Platter Kit contains the following items:

• 60mm thick extra heavy impedance-matched platter
• Screw-down record clamp, compatible with standard and 180g audiophile pressings
  
• Replacement threaded record spindle
  
• Denso damp, sub chassis dampening material
• Replacement belt
  
• Convex platter retaining nut and ring, to help flatten uneven vinyl

The difference in performance, is enormous! The turntable's grip on presentation is authoritative. Bass has more drive to it, deeper, more controlled, and probably an octave lower (as they say in hifi mags!).

PLEASE NOTE: This kit is designed to fit all GyroDecs that have a black acylic platter and inverted main bearing already fitted. If your turntable does not have these you will need to purchase them as well as the latest springs and / or spring adjusters before you can install the Orbe platter upgrade. The inverted bearing is easily identified by the bronze colour of the bearing housing under the platter. If your bearing is aluminium ( silver ) coloured, it is not an inverted bearing.
