Item up for sale: This is a custom one off 3 shelf audio rack with built in cable retainers and a littlie. The rack was engineered and machined by myself when I did that sort of thing. I thought about selling units but I thought it wouldn't be profitable with time and materials. The butcher blocks are solid maple made by a custom cabinet maker. All the stand offs, feet, light bracket are machined from Delrin.
Delrin - an acoustically dead performance plastic. Very low creep, does not absorb moisture or swell like other low grade plastics such as Acrylic.
The feet are adjustable incase you have an uneven floor and are spheres which minimizes floor contact.
Measurements as follows: total height: 32.5"
shelf dimensions: 24"w x 20 D. - 18" between stand offs
Stand offs are 2: dia. x 11" H
Feet and 7.5" x 4" round at base and 2"
You can see the bracket designed for the littlite - (which is included) and the p clips for cable routing if you have a turntable - which is why I incorporated the p clips to place a turntable on the top shelf, route the tonearm cables, and ground wire to the preamp.
I've sold some of my one off designs over the years and this piece is no exception. Component stands are very pricey these days and I'm quite amazed to be honest. I am asking $1000.00 + shipping. With time and materials, not to mention designing - drawing prints, etc. If I remember correctly I had about $4k into it. This thing is heavy, weighs in at 80lbs. It can be broken down and shipped in 2 boxes - butcher blocks in one and the plastics/light in another.
I pack my items very thoroughly, using packing foam and taking photos of the packing process to ensure you that your product will arrive in one piece.
There is one small scratch on the top shelf - very light, not deep nor really noticeable - see one of the attached photos. Could be lightly sanded and re varnished if necessary.
This is a well engineered, solid one off design.
