Nakamichi 1000ZXL [Template]

Very Nice Nakamichi 1000 ZXL in exceptional condition.

The tape deck has been totally renewed both electronically and mechanically in order to reach the best possible performance.

The description of the work that has been performed in this unit is here below:

All the electrolytic capacitors have been replaced by the Top quality capacitors, and this includes the failure prone "orange film capacitors" that must be replaced (according to the Nakamichi recommanded tolerances) to secure the unit in the long run and get the best performance: a total of >230 caps have replaced by new ones.

The 3 relays have been replaced by new (meaning unused) ones in order to improve the long term reliability of this state of the art tape recorder.

Regarding the mechanism, a Nakamichi specialist named "Audio Retro" (one of the Nakamichi best specialist) has changed all the belts and the pinch rollers.

The sophisticated mechanism has been totally lubricated properly.

The mechanism and the azimuth have been tuned.

Audio Retro has also optimized the frequency response curves using an oscilloscope and the appropriate equipment.

The final result is truly excellent, just the same as a brand new Nakamichi 1000 ZXL.

I have tested the tape deck in my own home afterwards and I was very surprised to hear so many details on very old tapes: the quality was far beyong my expectations.

So this Nakamichi 1000 ZXL is certainly one of best sample ever proposed on auction.

There’s some faint marks of use on the wooden box.

Magnifique magnétophone Nakamichi 1000 ZXL dans un état exceptionnel.

Le magnétophone n’a pas été simplement révisé, ce qui ne signifie pas grand chose en vérité, il a été totalement remis à neuf de façon professionnelle; voici la description du travail effectué:

Tous les condensateurs électrolytiques ont été remplacés (c'est indispensable au-delà de 20 ans) par des composants de très haute qualité.

Les tristement célèbres condensateurs NIS-Orange, connus pour devenir instables et causer de nombreuses pannes sur les Nakamichi 1000ZXL ont également été remplacés par des cibdensateurs Polypropylène de grande qualité en tenant des toélrance très faibles recommandées par Nakamichi.

Au total, plus de 230 condensateurs ont été remplacés de façon à garantir, sur le long terme, les meilleures performances possibles à cet appareil légendaire.

Les 3 relais ont également été remplacés.

La société "Audio Retro" (France) qui est l'un des tous meilleurs spécialistes de Nakamichi, a changé toutes les courroies et les galets presseurs.

Le mécanisme sophistiqué du Nakamichi 1000-ZXL a été totalement lubrifié et finement réglé par Audio Retro, y compris l'azimuth, de façon à obtenir les meilleures courbes de réponse en fréquence possibles. Toutes les courbes sont similaires à celles d'un Nakamichi 1000 ZXL neuf.

J'ai ensuite testé le magnétophone chez moi, et j'ai été très agréablement surpris de pouvoir entendre sur de très vieilles cassettes une multitude de détails dont je ne soupçonnais pas l’existence.

Ce Nakamichi 1000 ZXL, qui était à la pointe de la technologie à sa sortie, est donc certainement l'un des meilleurs exemplaires jamais proposé aux enchères sur Internet.
