This high-performance beast of an amplifier was used in my system driving Thiel 3.7 speakers. I tried Bryston and Ayre, but have always come back to Mark Levinson, definitely a great match with demanding speakers. I am the original owner of this amplifier. It will deliver 2x400w @ 8 ohms, or 2x800w @ 4 ohms, able to double power as impedance halves. Frequency Response: within 0.3 dB from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Input Impedance: 100 kohm balanced. Voltage gain: 26.8 dB. Speaker Connectors: Four custom binding posts. Input Connectors: two 3 pin XLR balanced, two RCA jacks. Other: two 1/8” mini-jacks for remote turn on, one RS-232 port on RJ-11, two Mark Levinson communications ports on RJ-11, RJ-45.
Mark Levinson ML 432 amplifier features two large, robust power supplies. Each supply includes a high capacity, low noise toroidal transformer and 4 large, low ESR capacitors. A truly balanced input topology eliminates the need for an input buffer amplification stage, allowing the first stage differential amplifier to be driven directly by the source.
I have the original power cord, shorting straps, manuals and gloves, and also have the boxes. Inner box is perfect, outer box has wear from shipping and moving. There are a few scuffs on either side, but looks excellent overall. The amp is very heavy (140 lbs. shipping), so I would be interested in local pickup, or a few hours drive from Raleigh, NC. Shipping can be arranged.
