The GEM Dandy Periphery LP clamping Ring
The GEM Dandy Periphery LP clamping ring is an excellent upgrade for turntables that
will accommodate it. The PolyRing is the most advanced ring design
available. The original and first clamping ring was used on the
Merrill Heirloom turntable in 1980. The periphery ring is forged from
bronze to lower the resonant frequency and incorporates a damping
insert. Comes with a centering Jig (also can be used as a platter dust
cover).
Be sure enough clearance is
available for the ring body to hang down the side of the platter without
hitting the base or a drive belt. A .47 inch clearance is necessary. The record
capture lip is .025 inch in thickness, The thickness of the record capture lip
may interfere with some cartridges. Weight is 35 OZ. Outside diameter is 13 1/8
inches. See the picture for a view of dimensions Shipping starts in 10 days hifigem.com https://parttimeaudiophile.com/2021/01/29/gem-dandy-polytable-signature-turntable-with-sorane-ta-1l-tonearm-review/
