I'm downsizing my stereo rig to a simpler set-up. This unit is in excellent condition. The glossy top has a bit of wear, but no "scratches" - meaning no cuts in the finish. You have to shine a flashlight directly on the top to see any flaws. There are no marks on the front, back, or sides that I'm aware of, but the bottom has one or two small rub marks. I purchased this second hand, and the warranty expired in February 2021 according to the serial number (PS Audio's warranty runs for 3 years, so that will tell you it's age). PS Audio is supposed to have a 3-4 month grace period, however.
I think this is a high-end component priced in the mid-tier range. It is fully software upgradable via SD card, as it doesn't use an off-the-shelf DAC chip. It's had several updates since it's launch circa 2016, and each one has built on the last, creating an ever improving sound. The current firmware version, "Windom," is truly excellent with an airy top end, rich mids, and authoritative bass. I think that the output stage is perfect for a direct-to-amp scenario, which is what I did. It has only digital inputs and both balanced and unbalanced outputs.
Shipping with remote, original packaging (double-boxed), manual, and stock power cable.
